The Toronto Natural Hair & Beauty Show exsists to uplift, change mind sets and promote a positive image of people who choose to wear their hair naturally.
Aimed at pushing our community to rethink and challenge old racial sterotypes and assumptions, The Toronto Natural Hair & Beauty Show aspires to advance the black community, seeking to provide an outlet for community support around issues of natural hair, health and wellness.
This exciting event celebrates everything from natural hair care, to holistic health & beauty tips. An annual event filled witth something for everyone ~ delicious food, exciting entertainment, vendor marketplace, educational presentations, workshops, spoken word artistry, a hair show as well as activities for children.
This year the show's theme is 'Restoring Our Roots'. It will be held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre at 6 Garamond Court, 12PM - 7PM on Sunday June 22, 2008.
THIS YEAR CELEBRITY STYLIST DERRICK SCURRY FROM NYC WILL BE HOSTING A WORKSHOP. HIS WORK HAS BEEN FEATURED IN ESSENCE, EBONY, & MANY BLACK HAIR CARE MAGAZINES.
