Peace and blessings brother. I overstand your frustation in pulling this historic event together. We have great challenges in the Black/African progressive Nationalist Afrocentric NOI community. As a brother stated to me, this grouping of Africans In the US is the least developed economically than any other groupings of Africans in America. Secondly, we as a people wait to the last minute to plan and organize. You have done it properly but the masses of our people are not organized to overstand the importance of responsing in a timely manner. Thirdly, we as a people spend 94% of our economics with others outside of our race. Only 6% comes back to our businesses, groups, etc. This 6% includes the billions will give to the church. Finally, many of us are dealing with higher gas and food issues, which means higher flights/hotel, etc. So the current economic situation puts our people in the worst situations. All that said, you have to keep doing what you are doing. Maybe you have to scale back the initial vision. Look at other connection strategies. I sent you a community directory I created in Atlanta to get groups communicating with each other. Maybe a similar directory of grassroots groups and organizations needs to be developed in B'More. I am from DC so I know about B. I am planning to send a donation later on this week. I will look and see if I can make it in September. I support you 100% and will do what I can to past the word.
