Co-Founder of Luv4Self
Director of Luv4Self Conference
Carlos Muhammad was born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York. He attended undergrad and graduate school at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York. During his college years, Muhammad became an advocate for change. He used his weekly school newspaper column and leadership positions in student and community organizations as vehicles to convey messages concerning Black People and humanity.
Muhammad’s increasing frustration at the many injustices and lack of self-love, respect and knowledge within the Black community served as a catalyst for the book he wrote and published in 2004 called Caressed Spirits. This book won him the honor of BEST SELF PUBLISHED AUTHOR in 2005 in THE BALTIMORE CITY PAPER. Carlos Muhammad later went on to co-create and moderate what is now known as THE LUV4SELF NETWORK- which is responsible for creating such national movements as TURN OFF CHANNEL ZERO as well as the upcoming Luv4self National Conference.
Carlos Muhammad has lectured and delivered poetry on various college campuses and venues throughout Buffalo and surrounding New York areas, the Baltimore/DC area and Philadelphia. Muhammad presently resides in Baltimore where he serves as an educator to middle school, high school and college students.
